Friendly Visiting

Friendly Visiting services match seniors who have limited contact with friends and family or who are not able to get out to socialize with a volunteer who shares interests in order to support good conversation and friendship. Volunteer visitors would visit the senior's home weekly. 

Tele-Friend

Matches you with a volunteer who calls you regularly for a chat.

Telephone Security Checks

A volunteer will telephone you at a set time on specific days to ensure you are alright. Your permission is required for release of information and consent to contact emergency workers if needed.

Home Help / Maintenance

The Seniors Centre maintains a registry of self-employed service providers who have successfully completed a screening process. Fees are negotiated with service providers.

In-Home Help

• Includes house cleaning, laundry, errands, and other non-medical tasks

Home Maintenance

• Includes service providers to do such tasks as lawn care, snow removal, painting, and other non-licensed services
