Exercising With Arthritis
Volunteers trained by a physiotherapist guide people with arthritis through exercises that include gentle aerobics and stretching for muscles and joints. Registration and fee payment required.
A physiotherapist from the Canadian Arthritis Society is available for assessment, treatment, exercise, and education for people managing arthritic conditions. Appointment required.
Volunteer drivers take seniors to and from medical appointments. These include, but are not limited to, doctor, dentist, physiotherapy, day hospital, and dialysis appointments. A referral from a health care provider is required. There is a fee for this service.
*Notice: Due to a shortage of medical drivers and an ever increasing demand for drives to medical appointments, we cannot guarantee a match with a volunteer driver. Previously we requested 2 days’ notice. This is no longer sufficient. To help us better serve you, please call us as early as possible to book your upcoming medical appointment. Thank you.
If you are able to volunteer as a driver, please contact Jean Lawson.
