Exercising With Arthritis
Volunteers trained by a physiotherapist guide people with arthritis through exercises that include gentle aerobics and stretching for muscles and joints. Registration and fee payment required.
Arthritis Clinic
A physiotherapist from the Canadian Arthritis Society is available for assessment, treatment, exercise, and education for people managing arthritic conditions. Appointment required.
Medical Drives
Volunteer drivers take seniors to and from medical appointments. These include, but are not limited to, doctor, dentist, physiotherapy, day hospital, and dialysis appointments. A referral from a health care provider is required. There is a fee for this service.
Blood Pressure Checks
Trained volunteers are available on four specific days each month to take blood pressures. Drop-in.
- First Friday from 1:00 to 3:00pm
- Second Tuesday from 10:00am to 12 noon
- Third Wednesday from 10:00am to 12 noon
- Fourth Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00pm
